LED Headlights are technology commonly used in headlight systems. Car LED headlights will provide people with a substantial light output increase on vehicles so as to enhance security and visibility. Car LED headlight bulbs are very energy-efficient and will last a lot longer. LED headlight bulbs are easy to plug, play, and install. With these features, LED auto headlights are becoming more and more popular.

What's the difference between LED headlights and halogen headlights?

Halogens are incandescent lights that have tungsten filaments inside bulbs. When electric current passes through the filament, it heats up and produces light. Halogens differ from regular incandescent bulbs because they have a dose of halogen gas instead of argon gas. Meanwhile, a car LED headlight bulb works differently since a LED is a semiconductor light using a diode to transform electrical energy into light. LED auto headlights appeal to automakers and consumers for several reasons: LED auto headlight bulbs are brighter than halogen headlights and often cast a wider pattern. Besides, LED car headlight bulbs use less energy, last longer, and have a much whiter color than halogens, which are usually yellowish. Halogen headlights were the mainstay choices for the auto industry for years as they were cheap to manufacture and simple to replace, but now auto LED lamps are outshining them.

How to choose LED headlights?

When choosing LED headlights, it is better to choose under the guidance of color preference rules. Color temperature is measured in Kelvin, and the lower the rating, the yellower and warmer the white light is. In contrast, the higher the number, the cooler or bluer the white light is. Many car headlight LED bulbs are 6000K or 6500K, similar to daylight. Besides, when it comes to selecting car headlights, standard forward-facing vehicle lighting includes three different categories: high beams, low beams, and fog lights. High and low beams can be combined in the same bulb, but some vehicles have dedicated high-beam bulbs and low-beam bulbs, so it may be necessary to purchase two or three headlight replacement kits beforehand.
