About products and suppliers

DDP shipping, also known as Delivered Duty Paid shipping, is a trade term of delivery in both air and oversea freight. DDP delivery services are popular among those who do not have an importer license and have no ability to clear import duties and tariffs because DDP shipping terms are a type of one-stop shipping service, including import and export customs clearance and customs duties.

The differences between DDP shipping and DDU shipping terms

DDU shipping terms, also known as delivered duty unpaid shipping, are another type of common Incoterm when it comes to shipping agreements. DDU shipping means that when the goods arrive at the designated destination, the responsibility will shift from sellers to buyers. One of the biggest differences between DDP shipping and DDU shipping is that in delivery terms DDP, the seller assumes the responsibility for the goods and pays for shipping, import and export logistics, customs clearance, import duty, and taxes, while in DDU, the seller is responsible for transporting the goods, and the buyer pays for import taxes and other related charges. Duty delivery paid shipping agreements are one of the most advantageous for both parties when stable, predictable supply chain costs and routes are available.

Different shipping methods in DDP shipping

Delivery DDP service is able to ship goods to different countries, including the USA, UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, France, Dubai, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Japan, EU countries, and more! There are different shipping methods to choose from, such as DDP freight by air, DDP fast sea shipping, DDP slow sea shipping, and DDP express shipping. It may be difficult to transport goods with batteries because such products are dangerous goods. So there comes in delivery duty paid shipping with battery by sea. When it comes to transit time, DDP express shipping is faster than other methods, DDP air freight comes second, and DDP sea shipping is slower. All these methods of DDP freight terms could ship products to a warehouse, a business address, and a private address. Some shipping methods may have special requirements for carton size and goods' weight.
