About products and suppliers

Corn syrup is a very popular sweetening ingredient used in making baked edibles like candy. Bulk corn syrups are manufactured in two types – light and dark. Compared to other sweeteners, bulk light corn syrup and darker ones too are resistant to crystallization. This means they do not turn grainy when the temperature drops. Organic corn syrup in bulk is preferred for making candies, sauces and frostings because they remain moister and fresher for a long compared to those made with sugar.

How to Store Bulk Corn Syrup

After the bulk corn syrup supplier's delivery, they should be stored in tightly sealed containers at room temperature or refrigerator. This is because high temperature can cause the viscosity to decrease because it weakens the attraction between the molecules.

Purchasing high fructose corn syrup at wholesale and exposing it to high temperatures can also cause the water to evaporate, leaving behind the main sugar component which hardens. Wholesale corn syrup should also be tightly sealed in its containers after every use.

What is Corn Syrup Made of?

High fructose corn syrup in bulk is a liquid sweetener made from corn. Corn starch is broken down into individual molecules, transforming it into corn syrup, which is 100% glucose. Bulk corn syrup for sale is then shipped into the market. From its content, it is more or less a simple sugar. Despite being the same content, corn syrup bulk prices differ in the market as some manufacturers include additives or use certain corn species for quality control.

Is Corn Syrup Worse for You Than Sugar?

In direct comparison, using purchased corn syrup bulk wholesale products and their sugar counterparts are equally the same. The most common type of high-fructose corn syrup, HFCS 55, is identical to regular table sugar. Essentially, buying bulk corn syrup or sugar and consuming them in excess is equally detrimental to your health.
