About products and suppliers

Acne patches are small bandages made from a gummy or gel-like substance known as hydrocolloid to soothe and relieve the skin of inflammations caused by pimples and whiteheads. The over-the-counter hydrocolloid patches have good water-absorbing abilities. The protective dressing also prevents external infections accelerating healing time.

How do pimple patches work?

Dark spot acne patches have several layers of a treatment medium and dressing. The top dress-like layer holds the inner hydrocolloid and silicon layers in place. The silicone layer is impermeable yet flexible, allowing the patch to follow natural skin contours. Lastly, the hydrocolloid layer will absorb excess fluid, pus and oils around the wound, keeping it dry. But generally, the acne patch prevents you from pricking the pimples, reducing pain and preventing the reintroduction of germs.

How do you use acne patches?

Most pimple stickers on the market take a few hours to show results. So the most convenient time to use them is before going to bed. However, start by cleaning the pimple with warm water or alcohol swabs to remove face oils and makeup. Next, dry the wound, peel off the acne patch and apply it to the skin. Gently apply pressure to ensure the patch has no air spaces or does not wrinkle over the skin. Remember to remove the acne patch as soon as you wake up or after six hours. If the pimple is still oozing out fluids, wipe it dry and apply a new patch. Repeat the same procedure to other pimples.

Can you apply makeup on acne patches?

There are different types and sizes of pimple patches that conform to various skin tones, concealers and makeups. Buy star pimple patches that look beautiful on the skin while healing acne online. Small star, heart and round acne patches do not require to make up. Use concealers on large patches.
