About products and suppliers

1JZ Engines are part of a family of inline-6 automobile engines produced to replace the M-series inline-6 engines. These engines are 24-valve twin-cam engines, and they have two belt-driven camshafts with a dual-stage intake manifold. Cars with 1JZ Engine include Toyota Soarer (JZZ30), Toyota Cressida / Chaser(JZX81, JZX90, JZX100, JZX110), Toyota Verossa, Toyota Crown (JZS170), Toyota Mark II iR-V (JZX110), Toyota Mark II Blit iR-V (JZX110W) and lots more.

1JZ engine specifications

1JZ engine has a similar design with the 2JZ engine in terms of bore pitch, bore size and structure. However, the block deck and connecting rods of the 1JZ engine are much smaller than those of the 2JZ engine. Also, the 2JZ engine features a stroke increase of 14.5 mm or 0.57 in and the 1JZ engine displacement is 2.5 liters while that of the 2JZ engine is 3.0 liters.

In the 1JZ engine, you'll find 4 valves on each cylinder, a bore of 86 mm/3.39 in and 71.5 mm/2.81 in stroke. This 1JZ engine specifications gives it a over-square design which makes the engine to rev-up or respond quickly without much effort. Some models of the 1JZ engine come with a variable valve timing and double parallel turbochargers which are fed through a side mount. 1JZ engine horsepower is said to be 280 HP at 6,200 RPM with a torque of 279 LB-FT at 2,400 RPM. The engine is believed to have the capacity to do a 100 km/h race in about 5.6 seconds.

Why 1JZ engine?

1JZ engines are strong, iconic engines with good displacement power and response. The 1JZ engine has a strong cast iron stock bottom end which is able to take a horsepower of 600 to 700 without any problems. This means that the engine's bottom end is great for 260 horsepower per liter. The build and structural design of the 1JZ engine cars make it perfect for maintaining a slide/drifts and making transition movements because of its rev-happy characteristics.
