Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) Pedestal Specification

1.    General

This specification describes ODC Pedestal with space for passive splitter module for using FTTX network application at outdoor use.


2.    Compliant Standard and Feature

-        UL-94 V0 compliant

-        IEC 60529, IEC 61300-2-1, IEC 60068-2-6, IEC 61300-3-3 compliant

-        Comes with Security Lock

-        Comes with tension member clamps, Rubber grommet/seal, fiber guides

-        Comes with metal slot on inside of door for check sheet, instruction manual, etc.

-        Direction of access: Front / Single door


3.    Material

3.1. Cabinet main body & door: Fiber Reinforced Plastic/Polyester ----à (25%Resin + 75% fiber), Flame retardant according to ASTM E-84. And laminated by UV protection with thickness 0.35mm up to 0.7mm so that the contents inside of the ODC can be protected against sun rise, rainy, insects, etc.

-        Tensile strength of FRP: Minimum 250 MPa

-        Specific Gravity of FRP: Minimum 1.5 gr/cm3

-        Compressive Strength of FRP : Minimum 150 MPa

-        Thermal Conductivity of FRP: Maximum 0.2 W.m-1.K-1

3.2. Colour of main body and door: LIGHT GRAY (RAL 7035)

3.3. Outer surface of ain body and door shall be smooth, non texture.

3.4. Metal frame inside cabinet: Stainless Steel Austenitic 304

-        Tensile strength of stainless steel 304; Minimum 515 MPa

-        Proof stress 0.2% of stainless steel 304: 205 MPa

-        Elongation of stainless steel 304: Minimum 40%

3.5. All metal part, included butt & nut, anchors, key lock system, door hinges shall be a stainless steel Austenitic 304

3.6. Grounding panel: Copper bus bar with minimum thickness 1.9mm.

3.7. Splice Tray: ABS plastic.

-        Softening point temperature of ABS plastic: Minimum 80oC

-         Thickness of splice tray: 2.5mm  up to 3mm.

3.8.  Seal of cable entry: Rubber grommet. The rubber shall withstand against chemical solvent such as 0.65 N-H2SO4, 0.1 N-NaOH, 0.1 N-NaCl, ).1 N-Na2SO4. Test shall be conducted for 24 hours and no degradation of elongation more than 20%
