II.Thermocouple with Right Angle Elbow working principle

 

The operation principle of a thermocouple is based on Seebeck effect: In a closed circuit

 

constituted by two homogeneous conductors of different materia, When the temperature

 

gradient exist between the two junction, the electric current flows through the circuit.

 

At this time the thermal electromotive force(EMF) will be produced between the two junction.

 

Note: the thermal electromotive force changes along with the temperature, the value of thermal

 

EMF is related to materials of the conductors and the temperature difference of two junctions of

 

thermocouple. It has nothing to do with its length and diameter.
