Luwak Coffee is the most expensive coffee in the world. The main reason is because of its uncommon process that involve Luwak (also known as Palm Civet).
Palm Civet is a small mammal that prefers to eat only the ripest coffee cherries. During the digestion inside this mammal, the coffee cherries and pulp are removed, but not the coffee beans. The civet's enzymes are sipped into the coffee beans and fermentation occurs, that will add unique and extraordinary flavor. Then, the coffee bean will passed through intestine and defecated with other fecal matters.
In the next steps, these coffee beans are collected, washed, dried and sorted.
Coffee anthusiasts and experts around the world agrees that Luwak Coffee has smooth, delicious and flavorful notes.
Our method is collecting the coffee beans from Indonesia's wild rainforest, we do not use caged Luwak / Civet, to ensure ethical process. Therefore, we have limited supply.
