Q1:What is the proper way to to cook tapioca?

A1:Make sure to use enough water!

A good rule of thumb is to boil the water and tapioca at a ratio of 8:1. In other words, use 8 cups of water for every 1 cup of tapioca. Otherwise, the tapioca may melt during the cooking process.

Q2:How can i prevent the tapioca pearls(boba) from getting too chewy or too soft?

A2:All bubble tea enthusiasts have different views as to how chewy or soft they prefer their tapioca.

If you like your tapioca softer, then cook the tapioca a little longer than the recommended time (and vice versa).

Q3:How long does cooked tapioca stay fresh?

A3:Tapioca is best within 3-4 hours of being cooked. Keeping it longer may result in a mushy texture.

Q4:Can tapioca pearls be refrigerated once they are cooked?

A4:It is definitely not recommended for businesses to do so, as the core of the cooked pearls will become hard and then lose its chewy texture.
