How The UV Works
Ultraviolet: It's a general term of electromagnetic spectrum which wavelength is 100-400 nanometer radiation which is an invisible light. According to the classification of the ultraviolet band by CIE (International Lighting Commission), it can be divided into UVA (320-400 nm), UVB (280-320 nm) and UVC (100-280 nm).

Ultraviolet radiation can destroy the molecular structure of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) or RNA (ribonucleic acid) of bacteria and viruses in the range of 240-280 nm, causing growth cell death and/or regenerative cell death, thus achieving sterilization effect. Ultraviolet radiation has the strongest bactericidal activity, especially at 253.7 nm. Ultraviolet radiation below 240 nm can generate oxygen in air or water to ozone, ozone has strong oxidation, can also play a bactericidal role, in addition, it can degrade organic matter in water. Ultraviolet radiation at 185 nm has the strongest ozone production capacity.
