I do not think it disturbs or discomfort my hands, it has the levels that you can put and it is at the right height, you can
regulate and it is perfect.

Yes, the bottom of the screen can be anywhere from about 2-1/2 “ (lowest position) to about 6” (highest position) from the
desktop. Please remember the bottom of the keyboard base (nearest to mouse trackpad) is only about 1/2”above the desktop

When you have it opened, how wide does it sit? I have one that only opens up 6 inches (left to right) and it's too wobbly to type.
Answer:
Mine opens to 6 1/2 inches and if you place it on a desk, it stays, it is not wobbly at all. I use it with a Macbook Pro 15 inches it is a heavy laptop , had used with small HP machines. I love this product and was wondering to have another one for my HPs laptops. Have not used it with IPADS or other tables though.

i wouldn't use this on a bed. it's not sturdy enough for that.
