Nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR-CL) is white to off-white odorless powder with bitter taste, and it is the salt form of nicotinamide riboside (NR). NR is the derivative of vitamin B3, and it functions as a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or NAD+.
Because NR is very unstable under room temperature, its salt form is produced for longer shelf life. The the most common salt form is nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR-CL), and NR-CL still has the same performance as NR.
