Hastelloy C-4 features and application field overview:
The alloy is an austenitic low carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. The main difference between Nicrofer 6616 hMo and other alloys of similar chemical composition developed earlier is the low carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten content. Such chemical composition makes it exhibit excellent stability at 650-1040℃, and improves its resistance to intergranular corrosion. Under appropriate manufacturing conditions, it can avoid the edge line corrosion sensitivity and weld heat affected zone corrosion. Alloys are used in flue gas desulfurization systems, pickling and acid regeneration plants, production of acetic acid and agricultural chemicals, production of titanium dioxide (chlorine), electroplating, etc.

2. The hot processing temperature of the alloy ranges from 1080℃ to 900℃, and the cooling method is water cooling or other rapid cooling method. In order to ensure the best anticorrosion performance, solid solution heat treatment should be carried out after hot working.
