Plastics pearl pigment of KOLORTEK is the classic effect pigment. KOLORTEK's predominantly mica-based pearl luster effect pigments refine plastics products into products that appeal to their target audience more successfully with their unmistakable brand design and brilliant appearance. In doing so, they create unique luster and color effect which otherwise only occur in nature – from silver-white, red and bronze earth tones, interference to gold and metal luster. The effect varies from silky matte to strong glitter, depending on the particle size distribution.
Except the particular condition, the appending rate of the pearlescent pigment in all kinds of plastics is 0.5-1.5%. The common plastic cloth and the thicker products can use less accession; but the thinner products must increase the accession in order to increase the pearlescent effect; when the appending reagent is excessive, will reduce the pearlescent effect.

Types of plastics Standard addition rate
1. When mixed with other organic pigment, should choose the transparent one.
2. Should choose the transparent plastics; For the opaque plastics, we suggest making the pearl effect by the method of spouting and printing on the surface, this will be cheaper and the effect is better.
3. Forbid to mix with TiO2, Fe2O3 and chrome which has strong hiding power (carbon is an exception).
4. Avoid using high cut method and don't break flakes so as to protect luster and color.
