The ETEC Autoscan scanning electron microscope has been a workhorse of the industry for almost 3 decades. The ETEC Autoscan is famous for its reliability. Fairly large objects may be put in the chamber as long as the area of interest can be positioned in the central area of the chamber. Designed by Nelson Yew, the Autoscan has produced excellent images, out-performing modern instruments subject to digital noise and other problems.
